The linguistic anthropology and
ethnography lab provides students and faculty with the tools to examine spoken
 and written language use. Our facilities allow researchers to transcribe video and audio, manage, code, and analyze transcripts and
field notes, as well as digitize and edit film.
The lab facilities include software, such as Atlas.ti, Ethnograph, and Final Cut Pro, two dual-screen Mac and one Microsoft workstations, digital and analog audio recorders, and high definition professional video cameras and sound equipment.
